Body Protectors
An equestrian riding body protector is a foam filled vest to be worn over clothes but close to the body and is to protect the chest and back area of the rider should they fall off. Injuries are not completely prevented but the risk is reduced. For the body protector to offer you maximum protection it must be fitted correctly and replaced after any major impact, also replaced every three to four years. As with riding hats it is advised to avoid buying and wearing second hand body protectors.
