Snaffle and Eggbutt Horse Bits
One of the most commonly used horse bits the English snaffle bit and eggbutt snaffle can have a straight ,jointed mouthpiece or a french link. Calling a bit, loose ring or eggbutt only refers to the cheek sides. The eggbutt snaffle is more fixed in cheek sides assisting with steering and brakes whereas the loose ring is flexible but really both versions are a fairly mild form of control used carefully.
